You read an early draft. Olympians Save the World!
I actually did this on the script I have out now. Results TBD (I suspect it will be meaningless either way.)
I have some more plasma to sell before I can afford to enter. But I will before the early deadline passes!
And here I thought you were going to hire them as readers for the Starmaker Screenwriting Contest. You certainly pull in enough money to do it.
I have some notes on the rejection. Gonna need an unpaid revision on it.
I have a kid and play team sports and... *Looks inside friend bag* it's totally empty.
I think life is just too busy and too hard for most people to dedicate the time and show the vulnerability necessary to establish lasting friendships. Emotional bandwidth is thin nowadays.
My script OLYMPIANS SAVE THE WORLD made the QFs of the Emerging Screenwriters Sci-Fi & Fantasy competition. It's good to see that after nearly a decade away from screenwriting those muscles haven't totally atrophied.

(Reposting because I forgot the dang hash tag before)
Just after college I took someone to see SPLICE on a first date. Movie was pretty awkward, but the bar afterward was fun.
It's because after 13 years I decided to cancel my ESPN+ subscription and stop watching. You're welcome, Sabres fans.
Which is to say I love it and want to rewatch it again immediately.
AD ASTRA is beautiful and contemplative, with interesting themes about abandonment, becoming your father, and letting go of trauma, and a wonderfully restrained performance from Brad Pitt.
And every half hour or so it becomes a Benny Hill sketch for 10 minutes.
Also a total waste of Liv Tyler.
After doing my budget and setting aside all of my disposable income for screenwriting contests I am happy to announce I will be entering 0 contests this year. Yay!
That explains why I can lift a car with one hand.
The suffering will continue until morale improves.
Oh whoops apparently both of my books are half off on Kindle. That's a lot of middling to okay reading material for not much money.

FYI: The ebook of my short story collection is half off. People seem to like it. Maybe it will provide some entertainment as the world burns.

Well I know where my next query letter is going!
I'm definitely doing something wrong. I say, "Yeah, I met my manager at screenwriting camp. They're from Canada so you probably don't know them." And then the person I'm talking to just walks away with no response.
I keep telling everyone it's with a manager. I need to step my lying game up.
I tried, but my wife wouldn't let me leap from behind the steering wheel of our car on a busy highway with our child in the car. She's heartless.
I saw a little field mouse get run over by a giant pickup with oversized tires and if that isn't a metaphor for *everything* I don't know what is.
Great thread on top of a great thread.
That's a light warm-up for me.
Only thing I can think to do is helicopter my dick. Think that'll raise enough money?
Okay, but what if I think what I wrote is good but everyone else who has ever read my work thinks it's bad? I know it's good and everyone else is wrong. What then?
So profound.
My birthday has already past, but I did publish a birthday post on my blog again. Sorry that it's a bit of a downer: www.craiggusmann.com/39-on-lost-t...
Or maybe it's time for a collab?
Jace x Craig: The New Empire.
Maybe your next script should be a RomCom set on Friday the 13th? Smells like a million bucks to me.
