Historic, world altering cowardice from the hollow men running the Congress.

Screenshot of a Gemini interaction right after I open the page. My chat bubble says, "On," which was part of the first word I was writing. The full sentence was going to start with "One of the websites…"&10;&10;Gemini's response is, "It looks like your message got cut off again! Did you mean to ask a question starting with 'On…' or did you accidentally hit send too soon. I'm right here whenever you're ready to finish your thought!"&10;&10;From my perspective, I never hit enter. In fact, I continued typing my sentence while Gemini decided to try to figure out what I meant with the first two characters.
Gemini’s input box load before the rest of the page does which I appreciate. Unfortunately, if you start typing in it too soon, it will cut off your typing in the middle and then trying to answer the few characters you managed to type. Wonder how much compute is wasted by this.
@billoram.bsky.social in today’s column, you say Robert Williams III was a key contributor to the 2024 Celtics title alongside Jrue, but Robert was traded to Portland in the same transaction that sent Jrue to Boston. Timelord missed out on Boston’s title.
I've been surprised to realize that most cookie consent managers don't actually test the things that an organization would need to test in order to know that they are in compliance with privacy laws. I had to write a custom script to check for our clients.

Wonderful. Our accountant has completely gone AWOL leaving me to try to figure out how to file an extension and guess how much to pay the IRS.
That's assuming I can pay the IRS BECAUSE SOMEONE SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE FOR APRIL 15TH! WTF ARE THEY THINKING?
I spent 16, SIXTEEN years fighting this crap.
I can’t believe it 😭
JUST IN: Viktor Orban conceded his defeat in Hungary.
The far-right leader & Trump ally will no longer be prime minister.
What remains to be seen is the size of his defeat — and whether the opposition wins a supermajority to amend the constitution and reverse Orban’s rule.
Why is this statement happening today?
I called my members of Congress to urge them not to let a president commit war crimes in my name. Please consider doing the same. The least we can do is be on record saying 'not in my name.'
Called all of my representatives and asked them to fly back to DC asap. Congress shouldn’t be on recess right now.
Call your representatives and tell them to do everything they can to stop Trump from committing atrocities.
Donald Trump is deranged. He must be impeached and removed from office.
Republicans who don’t stop him will have blood on their hands, and anyone who carries out an order to bomb civilian targets will be complicit in war crimes and will be held accountable.
23 people could stop this genocidal war criminal. That’s it. 23.
20 Republican senators and 3 republican reps in the house and he’d be out of politics forever. But they won’t.
They’re addicted to power. A drug so strong they’d rather see a civilization die than give it up.
It would not hurt if you called your GOP MoCs to tell them they are legally complicit with the war crimes Trump is committing.
Might not prevent armageddon, but couldn't hurt.

Fantastic article from Anna E. Cook digging into the value of prototyping and why AI may not be the best tool for it.

I know I mentioned this at the end of the article, but I want to emphasize again that I'm happy to answer any questions you may have about my experience with tirzepatide (or web perf for that matter). Happy to answer publicly or privately.
Because you can't hire Paravel anymore, I would heartily recommend hiring @cloudfour.com.
I've long been jealous of CloudFour's ability to boil the ocean of complexity into understandable terms. Good communicators, great people, and a deep understanding of how to make great apps and websites.
A crowd of fans in stadium stands celebrating and cheering, some holding scarves and waving flags in transgender pride colors. Large text across the image reads “Transgender Day of Visibility,” with a transgender flag–colored border at the top and bottom. Banners in the crowd include messages of inclusion and support, and a team crest appears at the bottom center.
Today we recognize Transgender Day of Visibility 🏳️⚧️
A day to celebrate the strength, resilience, and contributions of transgender and non-binary individuals everywhere, and acknowledge the very real challenges the community continues to face. At Minnesota Aurora, we believe soccer is for EVERYONE.
thank you!
Oh, I also want to say that I can't get enough of @tylersticka.com's illustration for this article. It does such a great job of capturing how I often feel about web performance. The WTF look on the character's face as it looks at JS is true to life. cloudfour.com/thinks/weigh...
The various GLP-1 medications are amazing. It has made a huge difference in my life. We need something like it for the web.

Everyone is going rock so I’ll go a different direction: The Miseducation of Lauren Hill.
p75 and p90 JavaScript bytes on the web have exploded since May, 2025—easily the largest 10 month period based on HTTP Archive data since 2023.
The long-tail is getting worse, very quickly.
Gemini, what happened in May 2025?
It's a progressive web app!
