Different voting systems. You asked a question, I tried to answer
Voting history means which elections you cast a ballot in, not what/who you voted for/against. This information is public and is used to survey “likely voters” based on their past voting history. Based on primary voting history party affiliation can be guessed as well
I think one of the biggest shifts from AI will be that the pool of potential users of public-facing APIs has suddenly grown by multiple orders of magnitude. Building something on top of an API is no longer limited to professional developers. That shift will make AI-friendly APIs much more valuable

The Indian Lodge nestled in the hills at David Mountains State Park
Davis Mountains State Park is hard to beat for stargazing and sweeping vistas. Very close to the McDonald Observatory. Plus the Indian Lodge recently reopened after years of renovation.
The crystal clear giant spring-fed pool at Balmoreah SP (in the middle of a desert no less!) is amazing
Blanco State Park is a favorite close to Austin. Huge cypress trees and really cool CCC dam/swimming pool. Plus a short walk to downtown Blanco.
Great to see this list. I’d love to compare notes with you sometime. Some of my favorite places in the whole world are still on your to do list!

LiquidGlassifying an app in 2025 feels analogous to adding TouchBar support to an app in 2016
There’s no such thing as party registration in Texas. The closest thing is voting in a primary, where you are restricted to only voting in a single party’s primary. But primary voting participation is much lower than general election participation, so it’s not a reliable proxy for party affiliation.
In the early 90’s I was an intern at the North Texas Film Commission and I took a call from Gilbert Gottfried letting us know he would not be attending the Dallas Premiere of Problem Child 2. He didn’t sound anything like Gilbert Gottfried.
I think a forgiving refund policy is going to perform better than a free trial, especially at a low price. Reminds me of: x.com/asmartbear/s...

I had a job as a UPS driver when I was in college (in Austin), and I remember one part of our training was "how to honk politely" — two light short taps is what was recommended to say "hey, just want to make sure you see this big truck"
