“I need not sell my soul to buy bliss. I have an inward treasure born with me, which can keep me alive if all extraneous delights should be withheld, or offered only at a price I cannot afford to give.”
Happy Birthday, Charlotte Brontë. Born on this day, 1816. 🎂

"The little lady and I are still on the mend, so we had a cosy mummy-daughter afternoon watching #Sanditon season 3. 🥰
She loves it and laughs and claps every time she sees a horse or Samuel Colbourne." 🫶
This is the face of a woman who is meant to be resting after her IV transfusion, watched over by her mother (see elbow in the background), but she’s secretly lying there coming up with story ideas and plotting romantic angsty scenes.

I definitely need this quote this week! I don't like quotes that just tell us to be happy and to chill, as if it is that easy, and it belittles the reality and rawness of our emotions. However, I do think that sometimes it can be useful to challenge our mindset and look for the positives. 🥰
I kid you not, there is a place in Shetland called "Twatt," and there is an actual sign (more than one), directing people who feel they belong there to this weird and wonderful place! 😂 Poor Twatt, it's probably a really nice community. 🤣
Leonardo DiCaprio famously improvised the iconic line "I’m the king of the world!" in Titanic. Director James Cameron loved it so much, he kept it in the final cut. The line later topped the American Film Institute’s list of the 100 greatest movie quotes of all time.
I love this dress from the early 20th century! Reminds me of Rose's dress (one of the many), from Titanic. ❤️
Once again I must apolagise for not replying to comments. I'm very sorry, it's very rude. I'll endevour to do better and backdate replies. I'm home now, and definitely getting better, but recovery is going to be slow and steady. So thanks for your patience and big hugs to you. 🥰
The Titanic had its own newspaper on board, The Atlantic Daily Bulletin. Printed daily, it included news, stock prices, horse-racing results, society gossip, and adverts—giving first-class passengers a taste of normal life even in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean.
The 1997 film Titanic cost more to make than the actual ship! The RMS Titanic cost around £7.5 million in 1912 (roughly £150 million today), while James Cameron’s film had a budget of over £140 million—proving that sinking a ship on screen can be just as pricey.
In the early hours of the 15th of April 1912, the Titanic sank.
Exact numbers vary, but it is estimated that out of the 2,240 passengers and crew, only 706 survived.
The role of Heathcliff in the 1992 adaptation of Wuthering Heights paved the way for Ralph Fiennes to play Amon Goeth in Schindler's List (1993). Spielberg said he felt drawn to Fienne's "brooding darkness," and, "raw masculinity burning with frightening vulnerability."
Sir Arthur Conan Doyle was a regular visitor to the little village of Ingleton in the Yorkshire Dales. It is thought that the inspiration for the name Sherlock Holmes came from here.
