I've never watched the TV series. But I'm 3/4 through the first book in the series and really enjoying it

I canโ€™t believe the new Greggs Chicken Roll has been dragged into a culture war. People are far too quick to get wound up over nothing these days. If you want something to actually be annoyed about, try how dry and bland they are. Absolute letdown. #Greggs #foodsky ๐Ÿฅง

I love New Mills, they have a football team there whose ground is an absolute treat to visit. They are in the league below the team I go to watch at the moment, but in the play offs, really hope they come up to give me another reason to visit!

A pint with a view here in Hebden Bridge. Full Circle Brew Co's Pace Egg Pilsner, brewed for the Easter Weekend Pace Egg plays which takes place in West Yorkshire. Perfect pint for a spring evening after 4 days straight in the office. #BskyBeer

This is a slab of French Toast from Gooey in the Northern Quarter, Manchester. My blood sugar levels have spiked dangerously high, no idea why.... #foodsky ๐Ÿณ

โ€‹West gave a good account of themselves in Bank Holiday Monday, pushing league leaders Wythenshawe all the way. Unfortunately, a single goal makes the difference in a 1-0 defeat. #nonleaguefootball

To be fair to Richard, he usually tries to get his booze for a 100% discount

Easter Sunday in West Yorkshire. Dodged the rain at The Piece Hall in Halifax, followed by some book shopping and Woodyโ€™s pizza in Hebden Bridge.

Iโ€™m over in Hebden Bridge and love Vocation, but this seems more about the changing landscape of Manchester. Even though Didsbury has always been pricey, I lived it up there in my 20s on a budget I could actually manage. Honestly, I think Iโ€™d struggle to afford a night out there now.

The price of beer in Manchester is still climbing. After that ยฃ7.50 pint I mentioned a while ago, a friend just sent over a photo from a bar in Didsbury. They are currently charging ยฃ10.70 for a pint of Vocation Love & Hate. #BskyBeer

I always do that with coffee on white. Usually at 8am in the morning first thing in work so I have to spend the rest of my time looking like a right scruff

My track record for eating beans on toast without getting sauce on my t-shirt remains a perfect zero.

Claire saw the Beak Brewery tote bag and really liked the design. Sooo... perfect excuse to stock up on some of their new releases for Easter beers.. #BskyBeer

It was interesting to see Iran and Venezuela mentioned so often, but taking no satisfaction from their leaders demise even though they were obviously horrible people, as the actions to do so seem to have caused even more chaos in the world.

Turns out I know more about global autocrats than I realised. Anne Applebaum's Autocracy Inc is a quick, sharp read, though most of it just confirmed my worst suspicions about how these regimes work together. It is a grim but necessary look at the modern dictator's playbook. #BookSky

Probably just have tried to fit "my' in that sentence as it's so subjective ๐Ÿคฃ. Another one is bread & butter that a mate of mine swears by. I've always been a fan of citrusy, hazy little numbers like crush hour and found this one was my go too.

A beer-free Friday for me, but I spent last night at the Vocation Tap Room in Hebden Bridge. Iโ€™d forgotten about their Crush Hour happy hour - ยฃ4 pints of their best brew. I do miss the Slap n Pickle days, though; the current food options feel like a step down. #BskyBeer

Attempted a new recipe tonight: creamy spaghetti with smoked bacon and parmesan. It turned out great. You can call me chef Andy from now on. ๐Ÿœ #food

In all honesty I'll be happy when this season is over and done with. West drop further out of the playoff picture after a 2-1 loss to Padiham. @wdcfc.bsky.social #nwcl #nonleaguefootball โšฝ

How many clubs in the ninth tier of English football have their own branded beer? The West sessions IPA was easily the highlight of the afternoon. #BskyBeer

Tried a McDonaldโ€™s McGriddle for the first time in years. Itโ€™s just as I remember from the US: that specific sweet and salty mix. Not bad for a rare treat, but the UK menu is still missing the real MVP. McDonald's UK, please bring back the breakfast bagel. ๐Ÿœ #food

Norco is a masterclass in atmosphere. Every element - the haunting soundtrack, the striking pixel art, and the surreal narrative - works in perfect harmony. It is a deeply affecting experience from @geographyofrobots.bsky.social that stays with you long after the screen goes black. ๐Ÿ•น๏ธ
