People need to stop thinking of romantic love as a prize you get because you're deserving or worthy. Having it or not is not because you're worthy or deserving or not. You're deserving of it if you want it & are committed to doing right by who you want to partner with. As a human.

It never leaves - it just changes.
You never “get over it”, you get space from it.

But that’s okay. You can integrate that into yourself. You don’t have to get over it; it doesn’t need to leave. Letting the grief be part of their memory has helped me cope.
