Agreed! Who can a left-leaning person like me vote for any more? SNP is centre left and the Greens are making a decent pitch. But Labour is nowhere

I genuinely want Starmer to do well. The centre needs someone to take the fight to the far right. But my god, he’s losing me. I cannot believe his ambassador pick for the US failed vetting and no one thought to tell the PM. I think Starmer is lying.

At least 254 killed in Israel’s devastating attacks across Lebanon Israel carries out 100 strikes across Lebanon in 10 minutes, health minister says hospitals overwhelmed with victims.

Where to find the words anymore?

What to say when Israel continues to behave like this?

And no condemnation at all from the UK Government. They carry on business as usual as if Israel aren't carrying out genocides in both Gaza and Lebanon.

In a time of almost unremitting grimness, this has brought me so much excitement and joy.

I remember reading that John Spencer would refuse to sit behind the ‘Resolute Desk’ on the WW set because of his profound respect for the office of President. I hate to think how he’d feel about all this

Honestly what is wrong with these people? The chance to go where so few have been before, to get a completely different perspective on Earth and on Life? My god why would anyone turn that down?

I finished professional supervision feeling more conflicted than when I started. This is good I think; it means my ethical framework is being challenged

Oh look, here's your Ideal Man. Brave, kind, smiley. Nothing LIKE Tate or Hegseth or the rest of those toxic wankers. Good job mate.

So, about those Eid prayers in London...

"What's the highest thing in Trafalgar Square?"

"Nelson's column, innit?"

"And the highest thing on the column?"

"Nelson."

"And on Nelson?"

"His hat."

"And the highest thing on his hat?"

"That bit that sticks up."

The greatest sickness in modern life is the rise of performative cruelty. Many no longer hide their sadism but revel in it. It’s not hard to trace the root cause. The book is an empathy machine. It’s no surprise the decline in reading has been accompanied by a spike in inhumanity. It’s hand in glove

As a hard working British person, can I please ask politicians to stop speaking for me? Some people can’t work, others aren’t allowed to. I don’t mind my taxes being used to support these people!

Populism needs a different name. Simplism. What is easily misunderstood is popular. Too many politicians think the way to beat populists is to mimic them. But you can't mimic dishonesty. 'cut migration' 'we want out country back' etc aren't popular ideas. They are simple ideas. There is a difference

To say that this will kill NB’s economy is ridiculous. I love the town but never visit because I know it will be a nightmare to park. If I had a good chance of finding a space and only had to pay a couple of quid, I’d be much more likely to visit.

Of course I’d love to say I take the train but…

Once when my bank debited £200 instead of £20, and after several failed phone calls, I said to the person on the phone “I don’t want to shout at you because this isn’t your fault. But would you mind telling your manager I shouted at LOT?” We both had a giggle and the money was soon refunded.
