I have an 80 minute rail connection in Leeds. I've never been to Leeds. Anybody know what I can do in the general vicinity of the station for about an hour in Leeds?

Not to go all boomer-y on you all, but I remember when Britain was a country where people put the small trollies and the big trollies in their own separate lines in the collection point rather than just throwing them in there randomly into a shambles.

I always, always find a way to get out of having to dress up for parties. This one, 8 years ago, was "dress as a tube station" theme.

I was not originally going to be but I am in fact now going to be at Harrogate for Spring Conference so if you are there let me know and let's catch up in the bar

No, it was just always officially called New Sarum.

Friends fear he may have found a new, extremely niche form of music to get into.

Fun fact. The establishment of Salisbury City Council in 2009 was the first time ever that the city was ever *officially* called Salisbury, despite that name having been used for the City of New Sarum and its predecessors for at least 1000 years

Also anybody who *did* describe themselves that way would be absolutely caked in red flags for me if I was looking for someone to hire because "I can bear to be around this person for more than 5 minutes" is, in fact, an important quality in any job.

This job ad is currently doing the rounds in local FB groups and I desperately need recruiters to understand that "customer-focused with a proactive sales mindset" is not a way that any actual human being thinks about or describes themselves.

Anybody else ever eat so many salt and vinegar crisps in one sitting that they acid burn their tongue or is this a uniquely Paul experience?

Saw a post about Hot Fuzz being 18 years old and actually felt one of my hips crumble to dust

Absolutely wild, brand-new thing that only Gen Z do, called "shaving".

"Addicted to antidepressants" oh no the literal Health Secretary doesn't know the difference between dependence and addiction at a time when addiction is the single biggest health crisis in his country, America is so doomed.

I find V Day so unnecessarily performative. If you have a strong and fulfilling relationship that you enjoy with someone you actually like, you don't need a specific day to celebrate it. You're supposed to be doing that a little bit every day.

Honestly since I started work in Parliament I have never felt less in touch with what's going on in the world of politics. Reeves has an expenses scandal now? Literally hadn't noticed, been too busy.

It would end it by breaking up the Labour Party (a good thing)

November was BAD. This is not a happy post.

Assisted Dying controversy? Farmers protests? Work is going to be an echo of November this month isn't it.

Chiefs just got annihilated in all three phases by a better team today. Congratulations to the Eagles, a well-deserved Super Bowl win.

Agree. Watching the Bills get embarrassed like this would have been much more fun than my own team.

The jokes write themselves with that comment.

No, I do in fact believe that from you tbf.

I'm not going to argue *against* that point - but I do think it is just as significantly a uniquely poor failure in modern British political history of the third parties as it is a success for May and Corbyn.

I used to post as public by default on Twitter quite happily but, in classic me style, I said something I shouldn't in a bad moment and got in a bit of trouble and decided to go private from then on. And I'd got very used to having that security.

I kind of have to be here because this is where my friends are now but I'm still so uncomfortable about having every post public.

Weak men cannot compromise. Weak men cannot build consensus. Weak men think that leadership means force. Weak men build nothing that lasts.
