In your experience, was the rope bondage for with you in rubber, spandex or else entirely? My understanding is that rubber is generally quite weak against rope, so the threat of damage is always imminent.

I find it really hard to let go of control, and to be comfortable with discomfort. I guess without experience it's hard to know what is normal and fine, and what is a warning sign that something's not quite right.

I was surprised how strenuous it was. Despite lasting for an embarrassingly short time, I felt physically exhausted afterwards. I was left with conflicting feelings...maybe this isn't for me. Or, I need to work harder and do better next time. Which impulse do you think will win out in the end?

I've tried a lot of things, but rope suspension was a new one for me. I was recently fortunate enough to be in the skilled hands of @theknottheorist.bsky.social.
Every time I've seen it done, it seemed like the participants were serenely floating on clouds...it turns out this is completely not true!

I was told the same from furrjoi but have avoided using silicone lube for now. I've noticed that the silicone absorbs oils and looks dry, but if you put it on cloth or paper after, the oils leak back out slowly. I guess we'll find out eventually :⁠-⁠)
