Seems a little silly to compare personal computer adoption to AI adoption. If you had to pay several thousands of dollars to gain access to AI maybe it would be a more reasonable comparison.

Damn it! Beat me to it ๐
Not entirely accurate. The US produces substantial domestic crude oil as well, so while the 60% is accurate it's 60% of imported crude oil that comes from Canada, not 60% of what they need. Sources: www.cer-rec.gc.ca/en/data-anal... | www.api.org/energy-insig...
Comparing numbers directly instead of quality of engagement is ridiculous. There's much more engagement on Bsky when normalized for user base size. Additionally Meta's metrics have (at least) in the past been inflated by fake accounts and they failed to disclose this to advertisers or investors.
In short: yes. But, I'm currently building a new studio, which is something I have to prioritize. That said, I am working on new music for Machinimasound as well. Updates will be posted on bsky.app/profile/mach... - Additionally you can find our legacy tracks here: drive.proton.me/urls/759C1P0...
It's a little more nuanced. For example they still have to comply with article 271 of the Swiss Criminal Code, and the data is still E2EE, and they are heavily audited by 3rd parties.
Looks like that link isnโt public. At least itโs asking me to sign up for OneDrive ๐คทโโ๏ธ
Game developers + Cheeseburgers Saturday, March 7 Toronto
If you want to attend GDCheese this March in Toronto, please let us know here with a reply. We're getting a ballpark of numbers so we can find the right venue to hold us. Looking to lock that in January.
Olivia Richman makes the claim about Blue Prince in the article here: www.escapistmagazine.com/news-indie-g... - she provides zero evidence or corroborating sources or statements from the developer.
Not sure where he got the 1.46 Euro in ROI. The number accoridng to the cost benefit analysis was 1.39 euro (still amazing):

Nice! I'm aware that this may very well be a first pass or maybe even an artistic choice. However what stood out to me was the fact that all the sounds are virtually at the same level. Loving the premise of the game :)
I think a BBS would suffice. I'll dust off my Boca modem.
Bernard Herrmann, photographed in 1946
"Whatever music can do in a film is something mystical. The camera can only do so much; the actors can only do so much; the director can only do so much. But the music can tell you what people are thinking and feeling..."
โMaestro Bernard Herrmann, born on this day in 1911
It differs, really. In Denmark it's 24 weeks paid leave for both parents.
And sometimes an ad can just be a brand giving away free stuff to get eyes on them, and maybe you could have a rule that it needs to be actually free (not pay-with-your-email-and-other-data "free" bs), which would be another way of keeping the feed classy and high value.
First of: relevance to the gamedev feed is key! Ads for oversized water bottles of questionable plastic is not relevant. But if you were to get small businesses who'd want to advertise assets, plugins or other things that's relevant to gamedevs I think everybody wins.
I'm heavily biased, because I'd probably be using the offer to get ads on the feed in the future. And while I appreciate the general hate for more ads in this thread, I'd like, from my biased perspective, to present a more nuanced approach.
Maddow: If you don't have Bluesky yet, I recommend it. It is a social media network that doesn't make me want to stab myself in the eye with a rusty fork
PING? PONG!
That's a good point. A similar mark should be attributed to people who have a verified domain as handle.
What do you find unreliable about their verification system? I already gave @jerilryan.bsky.social a link to the guide on how to verify accounts on Bsky on one of her previous post about false accounts. Here it is again: bsky.social/about/blog/4...
Maybe you should switch to BeOS.
