As a European I agree with Mark. It is dangerously complacent jingoism to think that it's "being European" that protects us rather than superior political institutions.

I read it! Liked it! An extra good read for any young person in your life navigating a divorce, and perhaps EVEN MORE SO if a young person has a friend or acquaintance their age who is navigating a divorce. So basically, any young person in the world today. Solid storytelling-two thumbs up ✍️🥸👍

There is something all of us can do to rein in ICE's reign of terror. The Department of Homeland Security is currently funded only through January 30, and the new funding bill is vulnerable.

Please read more via this link and call your reps today. All hands on deck.

Less than a week ago, the @washingtonpost.com reported about how an imperialist war of choice is doomed to failure and eroding quality of life for everyone in the country.
Today, they're reassuring us that imperialist wars of choice are Good Actually and always work out well for everyone.

Panel 1

Galen and Luna at a lemonade stand. A customer eyes the stand.

CUSTOMER
Aren't you two a little old for a lemonade stand?

LUNA
It's not a "lemonade stand" per se...it's more of a meta commentary on suburban America.

Panel 2

Luna

LUNA
Do you want it MORE if I tell you we made it ourselves our is that disgusting?
Do I look like someone you would buy lemonade from?

PANEL 3

Customer

LUNA
Is buying drinks off the street from a stranger acceptable in our current political environment?

Panel 4

Customer walks away. Galen looks at the cup he's holding.

LUNA
Perhaps we need to rethink our marketing strategy.

GALEN
I think we forgot to add sugar.

"World's first potential trillionaire has killed 600,000 people, including 400,000 children" is the only headline that anyone should ever read about Elon Musk

"If Elon Musk thinks it's good, it's bad, and if Elon Musk thinks it's bad, it's good" is a pretty reliable rule of thumb.

I wish every dem were out there making it clear that these ICE assholes are going to be facing legal consequences as soon as R's do not have a death grip on power but alas

Fair point...I didn't realize that a lot of the "recent" DC stuff I'd seen from him was repackaged older stuff.

I'm not really involved in "mainstream" comics (DC, Marvel, etc) either professionally or as a fan, but is there, like, a movement to get DC Comics to stop employing Chuck Dixon, a proud champion of fascist violence? They cancelled Gretchen Felker-Martin for far less.

For me, this is def the hardest part of working in comics and it's kinda wild people don't talk about it more.

Columbus Day - Wikipedia

Ever MAGA opinion is basically random thoughtless meanness, but it is very funny to see them pretending to really love Columbus Day, which became a national holiday because Democrats wanted to shore up support in immigrant communities during the New Deal.

White PDXers, now is the time to reach out to and be ready to close ranks around your BIPOC neighbors. You are the whitest metro city in the US, and that is going to paint instant targets on the backs of anyone who isn’t.

That was true in 2018, now I’m not so sure.

Anyone out there familiar with Highland Pro? It’s TWICE deleted all of the writing in a document for no apparent reason, wiping hours of work. Does this happen to other people?

I don’t want to give up on it because I like the UI and I paid for it, but I don’t think this is a risk I can keep taking.

I'm genuinely wondering, this isn't rhetorical!

While I got my knuckles rapped by corporate America for being rude and tasteless about a guy who dreamed of the stoning of me and everyone I love, Fox's Brian Kilmeade advocated explicitly for the state murder of all homeless people -- on live TV, no less -- to virtually no response.
