You say it’s not controversial but (shockingly) I know alleged-Catholics who are boycotting their churches on the weeks that priests who echo the Pope’s messages are giving their homilies.
My mom is quite proud to declare that “she won’t go there the weeks that guy is there!” (Ugh….)

Again, tell me you don’t understand polling and statistics witho it actually saying you don’t.
I think you’re showing the BlueSky bias against Musk, which is legit, but most people just care about “rockets going to the moon from the US” not whether it has NASA or SpaceX’s logo on the side of it.
Nobody should be able to institute a draft. If you don’t have enough popular support to staff your military, you should rethink your decisions.
I won’t ever fault someone for avoiding legalized slavery.
It’s certainly possible to create push-polls, etc., but those are marketing stunts, designed to give you something you can point to in order to rally someone to do what you want. It’s why politicians have “internal” and “external” polling. Internal are as accurate as possible because they need that.
That’s why it IS in fact a science. To get valid, representative results, you normalize your polling group against the population they represent. And you compensate for that in your math.
Anyone who says “it’s not science” hasn’t spent several semesters studying the science of polling. 🙂
That was never part of any proposed bet, and the fact that would try to pretend it was speaks volumes about YOU.
Peace out.
My wager terms have remained the same. Can Pete or Kamala win in the upcoming general election?
I say no. You claim yes.
Are you trying to pretend 2020 would be part of that wager? Who’s the asshole now? Who would realistically think “the past” would be part of a bet like that?
The proposed wager isn’t who you’d vote for. It’s whether they’d win a general election. I say they can’t, you’ve said they would.
You in on this wager or just going to keep talking around it?
Which is why I asked and you doubled down on it, to my amazement.
And yes, I’m aware of 2020. And saying “she won in 2020” as a VP candidate belies the fact that nobody votes for the bottom of the ticket.
She cannot win from the top of the ticket. Nor can Pete.
Now, are you in on this bet or no?
In 2000? Which ticket was she running on?
Did Kamala run in 2000? Are you really taking every play out of the GOP playbook? Denial first, diversion second…
Ah, election denial. Not just something for the GOP, I see.
I’m not sure how to interpret that word salad. Is that saying you take me up on my wager?
I’m happy to throw $100 on “if either of those two is the dem nominee in the general, they will lose”. If some other candidate gets the democratic nomination, that’s no-bet. You in?
Care to place a wager?
I said what I said.
Who is the “he” in that sentence? We’re talking about polling. Which came up because you asserted without evidence that it was an “objective reality” that people cared who got us back to the moon.
Just because they occasionally get it wrong doesn’t mean that the majority of time they’re not pretty accurate representation of opinion.
So to just blanket dismiss them is misguided.
I am Spartacus
Any sources to substantiate this claim?
Both.
I dunno … I see tons of corporate media talking shit about the politicians that are bought and paid for and haven’t seen any sudden spike in giving-a-shit.
I think there’s plenty of evidence to the contrary.
People. Don’t. Care.
What matters to the average person is that we’re back to going to the moon after decades of not doing so.
The average person would be just as happy if it was SpaceX that did it, and if you don’t think so, you’re fooling yourself.
Tell me you don’t know how polling works without SAYING you don’t know how polling works.
Show me statistically-normalized polling data that supports your position.
Because if you don’t have that, it’s not “objective reality”, it’s “subjective opinion”.
I hate him too, but I also get that most people care way more about getting to the moon than about hating him.
And your evidence is …. blue sky threads? LOLOLOLOL
My point is that it’s not important “who got us back to the moon”. The average person doesn’t care. They just care that it’s happening.
If SpaceX had done it, the same people would be cheering SpaceX as cheered NASA.
