Excellent and incredibly useful article on qualitative researchers’ experiences of inappropriate peer review - psycnet.apa.org/fulltext/202... - currently grappling with precisely this issue 🫤
Amazing and well deserved!!! Congrats 🥳
I’m getting tired of all of this narrative. You look after yourself when you’re looked after by others & when you’re not struggling with poverty, social isolation & discrimination. The state has a pivotal role in preparing the soil. Whether that’s NHS or beyond.

Indeed - Daisy is autistic and ADD and has severe anxiety - has been out of school (or training or anything) for over 4 years now. It’s been quite the ride…😬
In our new #OpenAccess paper we look into the process of integrating #VirtualWards within the NHS in England as a new way of delivering care to patients who would otherwise be hospitalized from the perspective of ICS commissioners.

Extremely isolating - my (trans) daughter is also 19 - feel we’ve had a decade of inadequate support from mental health and education services - managed to get an EHCP last year but given she’s been out of school/training etc since lockdown, it was too little too late tbh
But we are both so utterly exhausted 😫
Absolutely- it is quite frankly miraculous that I’ve managed not just to sustain but progress my career over the past few years - and thanks to a powerhouse of a husband and incredibly supportive colleagues.
*challenge singular 🤦♀️
Great paper - so important to challenges ourselves to move beyond the simplistic and predictable in qualitative research - recommended read 👇

Thread for those new to BlueSky. First of all, welcome. It feels like a safer space, doesn’t it? But also perhaps a bit disorienting initially? Here’s some tips for getting your bearings.
