That's the fear, right there. Barlow needs to be more than a "trigger man" (or be so unbelievably good at it that other weaknesses don't matter very much.)

Not writing off a 19 year old but this season is not a good arrow.

I now think Barlow is going to be a bit of a “project” for the #NHLJets. He might be 2 years away from being 2 years away as his game gets reshaped. We were all too high on him after he was drafted.

Barlow has really been on the decline the past couple of seasons. I hope it's just lingering effects of previous injuries & perhaps the ennui of a 4th season in the OHL. He needs to ramp up his intensity and pace of play or he'll fade away. He's still young though, and reportedly has high character.
