He’s an embarrassment to both church and state.

My students are once again thoroughly enjoying it (in English).
Holy Crap. [Or, if I want to be dignified, Jesus, Mary and Joseph!]
The Syracuse equivalent:
Bay of PIgs, anyone? This is what happens when people have no knowledge of history.
Sixty-five years ago, there was the Bay of Pigs. These things DO. NOT. WORK.
It is also a real-life example of Wag the Dog, complete with the sexual assault dimensions for its rationale.
I will be on the leg press at my trainer's tomorrow. Promise NOT to wear jeans (or improper shoes). Also promise NOT to take a photo!
Reminds me of the pictures of Mussolini and Putin at their masculinist worst.
I saw this and "Judgment at Nuremberg" back to back. I did prefer the older film....
Pius the Improbable.
Once shared a cab with John Dean during the mid-1970s gas shortage in DC.
Just found it on archive.org. THANK YOU for telling me about it. Will use in my White Nationalism honors seminar this coming semester.
I used Native in a seminar on spiritual memoir a few years ago. It's excellent!
This is HORRIFIC.
Good grief!
I agree--and so would Barry Goldwater. For the record, I'm a very progressive Democrat and would never have votes for either of these men, but they were both persons of principle. Would that more Republicans today could say the same.
They were both practicing detachment and establishing another site of Jesus in the tabernacle?
What bullshit. There is no other way of saying this.
The Temu Tony Robbins (times 2) were giving the talks....
Syracuse's Nexstar Channel 9 (ABC) is not carrying Kimmel, of course. And our CBS and NBC outlets are *both* owned by Sinclair. Welcome to the city that's also home of the Newhouse School of Public Communication. Embarrassing. [Please come back and visit, Jim!]
Your title is by far the better and more accurate one. Sadly.
One of the best is "Book: A Novel," by Robert Grudin. It starts slowly, but I was roaring with laughter by the end. Not exactly a murder mystery, but the footnotes stage an insurrection. A must read (and available for free on archive.org).
Having already read the column, I knew the answer. But that doesn’t make the devolution of Bezos’s Post any more discouraging.
He was my senator back in the day!
Sobieski Ross
My thoughts exactly.
It's a good read!
There were 8-10,000 in Syracuse. People came and went, but there were at least 8000 there as more were still arriving. Great energy, no problems, and hugely empowering. Joined by local officials including our state senator and member of Congress. Woo-hoo!
