Good thing there’s no precedent where flu wiped out tens of thousands of troops during war time! /sarc

Comic. [Crack of lightning making BOOOOM sound over dark background. On ground, there are two figures looking at it.] PERSON 1: Don’t worry, I’m wearing an anti-static wrist strap.

A photo of a white lighthouse with a black top standing among green trees and palm plants during sunset. The sky features strikingly layered, wavy clouds with shades of blue and yellow.

One of the most surreal skies I have ever witnessed, as vibrantly blue undulatus asperatus clouds rolled over the St. Mark's Lighthouse at sunset to create this dreamy scene. #Photography

Typical folks are using this as proof that people overreacted today to the president threatening to kill millions of people.

Threatening mass death when you control the world's largest arsenal doesn't make you a good person when you back down.

This is *at least* the eighth time we’ve had the building’s fire alarm go off for no reason at some random time of day. At least the local fire department knows where to go and the building layout!

Map showing bird migration last night. It shows hotsposts in the Mid-Atlantic to Ohio Valely, in the Southeast and Southern Plains.

While you slept last night: ~100 million birds took to the skies 🐦

The Mid-Atlantic saw heavy traffic moving north/northeast, with migration hotspots from the Southeast to Ohio Valley and Southern Plains.

The overnight rush continues this weekend.

Three Greylag geese. The one in the middle is typical grey and tan colored with an orange beak and feet. The other two are all white with an orange beak and feet, typical of domesticated greylag.

Four mallards, three male and one female. Males are distinctive with iridescent green head, yellow bill, chestnut breast, and gray body. One of the males lacks a fully green head, with a large white front patch - probably some type of hybrid. Females are mottled brown with orange and black splotches on the bill.
