Not a radio listener these days, but the voices of my youth still resonate. John Peel, Janice Long, Annie Nightingale and today, Andy Kershaw. The minute I read about his passing, his voice popped in my head. So sad.

Are you going? I would've loved it, but will already be in Iceland on the way to Tor. It's so cheap compared to CE - gold ticket 189, Jensen's M&Gs are only 400!!! and today there are still lots left for both days. Not complaining, I know how lucky I am, but could've done both had I known.

Yesterday I spent a wonderful hours with someone I recently met at a con. Sharing ideas. Getting to know each other. I rarely go out these days and miss sitting in a bar, chewing the fat. Where did the time go? Today, exhausted. Love spending time with friends, but need the next day to recover.
IT IS WITH GREAT sadness that we share the passing of Eric Dane. He had become a passionate advocate for ALS awareness following his diagnosis. He will be sorely missed. π

Positive start to the New Year returning to real life and daily routine. Now I am wiped. Early mornings in the dark, battling the elements, icy roads, snow, traffic. Roadworks. People. Storm Goretti imminent, I'll be happy not to go out tomorrow and have another mini break until Monday.

Brrh! π₯ΆHope you have multiple fleeces and woolly hats! We had a big thaw yesterday - temp rose 10Β°c in a few hours. But another winter storm on the way, apparently. Stay warm and I can thoroughly recommend comfort eating. For me, healthy eating and exercise can wait a while.

After weeks battling gridlocked roads, roadworks, Xmas shoppers and atrocious wet weather, today I escaped the mayhem and "mad" Friday. In days past I would have been dealing with kids high on sugar, followed by the forced fun of secret Santa and the Xmas βdoβ. So glad Iβm retired and can opt out.

20 years since the pilot. 5 years since the finale. The final episode is still difficult to watch. I continue to grieve the loss of the show and seeing #JensenAckles and #JaredPadalecki on my screen together. I will always be grateful for the joy they continue to bring to my life.
Not a fan of chick flicks. Nope. Never. But Steel Magnolias? Gets me every time. Powerhouse performances from all the ensemble cast. Lots of humour with a good dose of tears. What could be better on a duvet day?!
