it might not be suspicious. if you're just a civil servant who was doing their job, and you felt pressure to keep the very powerful people you work with happy, i can understand that, and maybe just quietly going was the best option.

not for the first time, i'm begging people to find out what they are defending before actually defending it, because if a staunchly pro-palestine party has a problem with it, it probably isn't "legitimate criticism".

the "you're conflating criticism of israel with antisemitism" line just isn't going to work with a party whose leader will happily go on telly repeatedly say that what israel is doing in gaza and lebanon is genocide. the greens obviously have no issue with legitimate criticism of israel.

and i don't know what my point is here. i'm talking to people on the center and center left who still defend starmer, and just wondering why? you're not getting gig tickets out of this, there's no chance of a cabinet position for you. why play the game, instead of demanding better leadership?
