I think we can change the world by having protected bike lanes and secure bike parking everywhere.

@visionzeroyvr.bsky.social Hi, Renfrew and Adanac has been closed due to an accident. Police told me it was a cyclist hit. They are still there, investigating. I'm afraid someone was seriously injured or worse. Every day I come through on my bike, and every day someone runs the red light there.

My biggest pet peeve about public transit policy is when its only purpose is seen as commuting to work.

A good transit system is there to support all kinds of trips at all times of the day, not only office commutes. Groceries, football games, coffee shop trips, concerts, etc.

Pro tip to those in leadership: If someone comes asking for you to do more to protect/help themselves, their kids, vulnerable or marginalized residents, don’t tell them what you’ve already done, just listen to what they’re asking for.
