i swear i've been hunched over scribbling in my pocket sketchbook for days trying to figure this out
going for something with lighter paper but more pages helped take a load off of me, plus i got the 3.5x5.5 inch size so it just fits in my little pocket! it's literally been making me go straight for pens to draw more often, i used to be scared shitless doing that but it's less daunting now!!
an aside from the last post. my royal talens sketchbook is the best thing to happen to me. genuinely the most fun i've had with a sketchbook so far.
i used to get s&b zeta sketchbooks. they're still amazing, but the higher quality always scared me into being more delicate with what i drew. cont'd ->

Monster Crown: Sin Eater releases on Nintendo Switch and PC on April 30th 2026!!!
But we're not done, more surprises are coming soon!
Hope you're ready to take on the Crown Nation and the monsters it holds THIS MONTH!!
43. Lola Rennt/Run Lola Run (1998) [8.5/10]
One of the most stylish movies I've seen in a good while! It had me on edge wondering what would change each loop. The influence on Majora's Mask is also easy to see...
I need to listen to that soundtrack again, too good for a movie...
it's (one of) my dog's birthday today!!
rn discord is sick in the head, that or i'm being vaguely threatened
i don't even have this game nor do i have discord open on my laptop rn
42. The Andromeda Strain (1971) [7.5/10]
I don't even remember how I found out about this movie, but I decided to watch it after having it torrented for 2 years; it ended up being a cool and tense midnight impulse watch, if only a little bit too long. I love how clean this movie looks, too.
41. JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Steel Ball Run β Ep. 1 (2026) [8/10]
Watched when it dropped last Friday. I was initially more worried about how SBR would be handled, but this first episode was way more exciting than I expected! Hoping davidpro can keep up the pace.
40. Dexter - Season 1 (2006) [7/10]
Finished this last week and I liked what I saw! Editing can be whiplash-y and Dexter's inner thoughts feel hamfisted at times, but overall it was pretty good; I donβt know if I'll continue, though. Last episode was pretty strong!
39. Space: 1999 (1975-1977) [6/10]
Did not go past Episode 1. The sets and effects looked gorgeous, but you can literally find more life looking at bronze statues than any of the actors here. Maybe I can give it a second chance another day...
38. Slacker (1990) [8/10]
Watched sometime in December 2025 (gotta be more on top of this...) It's an aspiration of mine to create worlds that feel lived in (for lack of a better term?) and characters that feel natural in conversation, so this was a great watch.
37. PLUR1BUS - Season 1 (2025) [9/10]
I was glued to watching this as it was coming out, but I forgot to log this (AGAIN!). Acting is incredible and an overall great season that focuses on what the Plurbs can do. Really can't wait to see where it goes next (but I hope it's within my lifetime...).
36. Spider-Man: The New Animated Series (2003) [6/10]
Interesting to watch off to the side. Animation was okay, but character models can be pretty stock-looking (I understand why, given the making-of doc I watched from the show as well, but it still sticks out to me). Soundtrack was kinda fire.
35. Death to Smoochy (2002) [6/10]
Funny, but a few more misses than hits. Nothing else to say about it, really... It ended up being one of those "going through the motions" things for me.
34. Angel's Egg (1985) [8/10]
Watched August 2025, had forgotten to log this one (again!). I'm obviously no spokesowl on the symbolism of this movie, but it was beautiful to look at for sure. I wanna paint backgrounds like this movie has someday...
33. Fixed (2025) [8/10]
I had actually watched this during the time frame it came out, but I had completely forgotten to log it. Oops. It was really fun (even if it was raunchy) and very well animated. Genndy and co. haven't let me down yet.
i've been looking for my sm64 and mischief makers carts for the better part of an hour now to play on the new(?) crt
