Raising Amzon’s price to match IS would mean Amazon readers subsidising the Ingram channel. Robbing Peter(Or at least Jeff)to pay Paul. Keeping the cost as low as possible whilst returning enough money to one day perhaps offset the costs has been our goal, that’s a long time in the future, if ever.
Thanks for your continued interest - we'd love to have the Chronicles priced equally everywhere.Despite the higher price we have comparable royalties on IS and Amzn and we set the discount to 55% this seems to be the standard practice, as if we price the same as Amzn we would lose on each book sold.
It's no problem: Ingram add a 55% discount that the book stores receive.

Thank you for republishing them. May they find many new readers.
I read and loved the first one many many years ago, but I had just stumbled on it in a used shop and never got any of the others, which was apparently a mistake!
The Wizard and the Warriors. The Wordsmiths and the Warguild. The Walrus amd the Warwolf. The Women and the Warlords. The Wazir and the Witch. Etc. I think they are generally out of print now, which is a great shame as the shift-in-perspective from book to book was highly unusual.
Btw the Chronicles of an Age of Darkness by Hugh Cook were recently republished, see www.amazon.com/Chronicles-o...

Mass market paperback cover: Hugh Cook - the Witchlord and the Weaponmaster (Chronicles of an Age of Darkness: Volume 10). Standard fantasy warriors fight in the foreground, *very* nonstandard science fantasy landscape in the background.
1) An underappreciated kiwi genius: Hugh Cook's Chronicles of an Age of Darkness. Gonzo mix of genres from picareqsue to epic fantasy to SF to science fantasy. Surprisingly; got big pub money in the 80s. Unsurprisingly dropped before the series was done. Rough in places but universally *interesting*

Hugh Cook’s Chronicles of an Age of Darkness, though magic is actually still a thing. The new reprints are very nice.

If you like surreal sword and sorcery, Hugh Cook's chronicles of an age of darkness is basically a ten-volume Rashomon. People who are the protagonists in one volume turn up as barely recognisable villains in the next one, etc.
In pride of place too. Very happy to see Hugh Cook getting the recognition he deserves.
New editions of Hugh Cook's books on library shelves
Rainbow chain curtain against floor to ceiling 2 storey windows
Earthquake strengthening beams padded at bump-into-able height with artfully patterned bolsters.
First visit to the newly refurbished central library. Lovely architectural details, and and stoked they already have copies of kiwi legend Hugh Cook's newly back in print Chronicles of an Age of Darkness.
I had bought and read the first 5 books in the early 90s and acquired the second five a few years ago. Shame he never got to carry out his full vision, 50 books!
Hugh Cook, great taste!
FYI the entire Chronicles of an Age of Darkness was recently republished on Amazon.

Hugh Cook's excellent: Chronicles of an Age of Darkness, finally have new editions after languishing in copyright limbo for decades.
Cook plays with genre tropes, mixing adventure, satire and humor, elements that help these books transcend the limits that make so many other works of the 80s and […]
