Today R*f*rm sent someone to talk to me at my front door (part way through my work day) so I took great pleasure in telling them never to come back cos their party was scum and slamming the door on them.

I cannot figure out how you get to the top bookshelves - there's a gap in the railings but no ladder. And the ladder in the kitchen area (presumably for the empty top shelves) appears to be bolted in one place which makes it mainly useless. Confused!

Hey at least they threw foam at it. After a hellish few months I found that the builders who did my extension hadn't filled in round the soil pipe at all. Which answered 'how are rats getting in my house, in my walls, behind my bed?'

I remember when our fridge died and in replacing it we answered the question of 'where the heck did all the ping pong balls go?' (like, I think seven of them were under there?) and the chair my son sat in (he's older than your kids) used to produce coins at a fairly reasonable rate.

Yeah, first time I watched it I hated it. The second time I deliberately made myself not do any kind of comparison to the book and enjoyed it well enough but realistically I'm unlikely to choose to watch it over other Ghibli films.
