Google’s AI-powered search is cutting the need to click links, with early data showing major drops in web traffic.

The Mail reports clickthrough rates falling by two-thirds when AI overviews appear, and Bain says 80% of users rely on “zero-click” results in at least 40% of searches.

I'm old enough to remember imagining the Internet would be some kind of Oracle of knowledge… Instead it has connected the previously-isolated dumbest loudest voices among us into a massive hive-mind of thundering stupidity.
...And now look what happens tomorrow…

Tesla Driver Called 9-11 After Running Down Motorcyclist While Browsing Phone on Full Self-Driving Mode: "I'm Not Sure How It Happened, But I Am Freaking Out" A Tesla driver fatally ran down a motorcyclist last year, while he was on his phone and his car was on Full Self-Driving mode.

I’ll be worried in future if I see a Tesla in my mirrors

"Do your feet hurt?
It was a brilliant sales pitch. Stand on a box over an X-ray tube and peer down at a screen to see the bones of your toes inside your new shoes. Are they squashing your toes?"
Shoe fitting fluoroscope.

Looks like Motorcycle Twitter is making its way over here. Maybe they’ll notice I’m already here if I post a photo of a motorbike.

Hey, let’s get some engagement farming going and reply with a picture of your bike, like they do on Threads!

Certainly looks like we’re in a minority here.
Since moving to Scotland a couple of years ago I’ve only attended BSB at Knockhill. Previously Caldwell, Donington and Snetterton were in easy reach.
BTW I’m envious of your garage !
