Had some (non-injury causing, thank god) tire trouble that will likely be expensive. Please check out my games and buy them if they strike your fancy.

The NO ICE IN MINNESOTA bundle is up. There's a lifetime's worth of good games in this! If you submitted something or just want to shout something out, reply here and let's reshare it and spread the word on this thing.
It's good that Rascal has issued corrections clarifying no breach of contract & contextualizing how much everyone was paid. But some of their readers continue to believe Jay didn't pay us β and will likely keep harassing her and spreading the original article's disinformation for years to come.
I am extremely grateful for people's support and getting it to 100%.
I have budgeted the Kickstarter for the production of the game and paying my collaborators professional freelance rates, with little money left for myself.
Any extra helps. ππ
Nereids in Play Nereids may cast magic through their associated Element, rolling 3 Dice of Personal or Arcane Import in that Element. Nereids are utterly immune to any magic from their Element, and have 1 Ward against each other Element. A wizard may schedule and spend an Engagement on a Nereid to attempt to capture them. If the wizard fails, the Nereid will flee and can never be found again. When a Nereid is Bound, the wizard replaces his associated Companion with the Nereid. As long as the Nereid is the wizard's Companion, the wizard rolls twice as many Dice whenever he casts a spell of the associated Element. Additionally, if the wizard casts a spell of the associated Element in the presence of his Nereid, he may choose the result of one of the dice rolled. [footnote: The Selkie amongst your list of Companions is a minor Nereid, not strong enough to provide the benefits described here.] If the Nereid ever stops being the wizard's Companion, or is unable to provide its care, it may take its revenge upon the wizard. The Nereid's fury is great and vast, and the older sisters of a vengeful Nereid have sometimes been called Erinyes. The Celestial Audience chooses 1 from below befitting the Nereid's anger, or may invent their own appropriate punishment: Inflict a Game-Changing Impact upon the wizard's Domain. Steal one of the wizard's other Companions and bring them to the Nereid's palaces beneath the seas. Prophesize exactly how the wizard will die. Sunder the wizard's soul β he may no longer ever cast magic with the associated Element. Attack the wizard himself and play out a scene with him unprepared. The Nereid will then flee, never to return.
work on seven-part pact draft 4 continues with a new wizard !! the mariner has been updated with rules for nereids and some tidied up stuff.

After a pause, we are once again accepting pitches for games.
If you've designed a TTRPG (especially one built on PbtA, Forged in the Dark, or Fate) that's near-complete, you can find details about how to pitch us (and the services we provide) here:
evilhat.com/game-submiss...
Who would you love to hear talk about PbtA as a reflection on life and design? Obviously we want to get @megueyb.bsky.social & @lumpley.bsky.social on.
I think @temporalhiccup.bsky.social @blg.bsky.social Avery Alder & @jdragsky.bsky.social would be a delight.
What about you?

Two opening illustrations for Blades '68. On the left, "Introduction", with a woman wearing a black outfit and polka dot headscarf, firing a pistol. On the right, "Characters", with two figures standing in foreground. Once is a dark-skinned man wearing a double-breasted jacket, and beside him is a woman wearing a sort of poncho thing (I don't know what it's called). Anyway, it's all very 1960s.
Two chapter opener illustrations for Blades '68. On the left is "Crews", with five 1960s figures walking across the frame. On the right is "System Changes", with a man in a suit working at a huge room-sized computer system.
Blades '68! It's all go!
Here are some chapter openers I've been working on.
Apocalypse World has had a bigger impact on my life than any other roleplaying game. It's just a phenomenal game, designed by phenomenal people. You should pick up a copy of the new edition!
Omg!!!
I still think about how much fun and electric this game was!
I like designing games that give folks the room to Create Meaning. Jeff is one of the most spontaneously creative players I've ever played with!
A tall armored figure wielding a large sword as a chicken leaps away in terror.
In #Absolum, I freed this chicken from captivity in one of the prisons of Jaroba. It followed me all the way to the final boss, Azra, the Sun King. It spent the entire fight being randomly targeted, but chickens are invincible in this game, so instead it was in a constant state of terror.
Loved working with HipΓ³lita on Apocalypse Keys!
Aside from contributing to Doomsday Delights, HipΓ³lita GMed during the late playtesting phase, and offered great feedback that helped me with essential edits.
I knoooooow, not having to do math as a GM is a must nowadays haha
And pbta tends to be much easier for me, needing less prep and I get to make up stuff in the moment easier!
I am so grateful to Jason for handling the Herculean task or getting this game printed, and we could use your help to keep physical copies available!
Apocalypse World is one of the best games, period, and what I've played of Burned Over was amazing. Absolutely can't wait for this!!!!
Yes thank you!!! I'm super passionate about this π€π€π€π€π€π€ appreciate you thinking of me Aaron!!!
When I saw the way Apocalypse Keys did moves, it permanently altered the way I think about PbTA. A 10+ isn't always a good result, it's just a lot.
Regular reminder that if you want to talk about RPGs on Youtube, Iβm running an indie RPG Youtuber mentorship over on the @chimerahearts.comβs Discord!
hi i'm getting a kickass set of new genitals installed in 2 weeks from now !! isn't that fucking cool ?

At the Luneta Park, Mendiola, the EDSA Shrine, and the People Power Monument, photojournos Raffy Lerma and Ezra Acayan capture several rallies of protest, where rage poured out against a multibillion peso public works scandal.
Adler makes a point: Any game excludes people. Every decision excludes people. The impulse is "exclude no one" but this is wrong, impossible. The question you *should* ask is: Is this game excluding *the same people who every game tends to exclude*? *That* would be wrong.

Screenshot of text that reads, "SPECIAL: Whenever engaged in psionic battle with another PSYCHER, roll + PSY. On a miss, both combatants are catastrophically overwhelmed with a deluge of psionic overload, cascading in directly from the psychonet itself. You both explode."
Also don't worry, I kept the "you might explode" special rules.
