The IPC’s updated de-identification guidelines has received the Privacy Papers for Policymakers Award from the @futureofprivacy.bsky.social. We’re proud to see Ontario’s work recognized on the global stage and to contribute practical tools that help shape privacy policy and practice worldwide.

Privacy breach stats matter and now, they’re mandatory.

Under Bill 194, institutions covered by FIPPA must keep track of all reportable privacy breaches and submit that information to the IPC. The first report is due March 31, 2026
