Jelte van der Vaart, postdoc in our lab, has been awarded an NWO Veni grant! π
He will develop human adrenal organoids to uncover how hormone producing cells change identity and function, shedding light on endocrine health.
We're so proud of his achievement and will support him along the way π

Honoured to present at the Oncode Institute Annual Meeting 2025, sharing my journey in adrenal cortex biology and organoid development from adrenocortical cancer. Grateful to the organisers for the opportunity and the inspiring discussions.
Only 2 weeks left until I run up the Alpe dβHuez for cancer research! πββοΈβ°οΈ
Training is going strong, and Iβm so close to reaching my β¬2500 fundraising goal.
Help me get there β and support research into rare cancers like adrenocortical cancer.

It's World Hormone Day! π₯³
The global endocrine community is joining forces today to raise awareness of the vital role of hormones in preventing and treating disease.
Help spread the word by sharing and following #BecauseHormonesMatter

Adrenocortical cancer affects just 1β2 per million, making research and treatment development challenging. But rare shouldnβt mean forgotten! ACC research is key to better treatments. Letβs keep pushing forward!

Proud to share our insights on WNT7B driving pancreatic cancer progression. Sprangers et al uses organoids to show that WNT7B employs short-range signaling driving tumor growth and mediate a shift of PDAC cells towards a more aggressive phenotype

Excited about our pre-print on AXIN1 mutations in HCC!
We found that AXIN1 mutations drive low but physiologically relevant levels of Wnt/Ξ²-catenin signaling, while being permissive to YAP/TAZ activation. This helps explain why mutations in AXIN1 and Ξ²-catenin are linked to distinct HCC subtypes.
