Have you tried baking soda in water with a bit of sugar (the sugar is so the saltiness doesn't gag you) to help neutralize the acid?

they are both bad. i used to suffer from heartburn a lot so I can empathize, also I remember having one of the medium sized containers of chocolate milk once and just chugging it and finishing half before I found it was rotten too... bleaugh.
