AI Tools Are Helping Mediocre North Korean Hackers Steal Millions One group of hackers used AI for everything from vibe coding their malware to creating fake company websites—and stole as much as $12 million in three months.

NEW: The naysayers said there were no good uses for AI, but as @agreenberg.bsky.social and @mattburgess1.bsky.social explain, it actually appears to be pretty good at letting North Korean hackers inept enough to expose the prompts they used to "write" their malware steal millions in crypto.

CDC won’t publish report showing covid shots cut likelihood of hospital visits The report, which had cleared the agency’s scientific-review process, had been delayed. It now won’t be published at all, people familiar with the decision told The Post.

SCOOP: Two weeks ago, the head of the CDC delayed publication of a report showing covid vaccine cut likelihood of ER visits and hospitalizations by half. Now that report is no longer allowed to be published in CDC’s flagship scientific journal. My latest. 1/2

They can't even do their *fake* math right. They want to claim that if increasing from X to Y is an increase of Z%, then dropping from Y to X is a decrease of Z% (it's not). But 600% of 10 is 60, not 600.

Not even if you use the stupid way of calculation they do. They want to claim that if going from X to Y is an increase of Z%, then going from Y to X is a reduction of Z% (which is not the case). But here, 600% of 10 is 60, not 600. So they can't even do fake math right.

"We will provide cheap healthcare to those who don't need healthcare, and provide no healthcare to people who need it." That's one way to make sure that those who pay for healthcare pay low prices, I guess... but it's also Eugenics AF.

"There ought to be a law" pales in comparison with "There ought to be a Congress"... This is literally stealing from nation's coffers to benefit himself.

Yale Report Finds Colleges Deserve Blame for Higher Education’s Problems

The national media is eating up this report as justification for perpetuating the lie that universities themselves - as opposed to decades of attacks from the far right authoritarian party - are responsible for eroding trust in higher education. You can almost hear them salivating at the chance.

These are the guys who go around saying that the Establishment Clause was only meant to keep the State out of the Church, but not to keep the Church out of the State. Now that the shoe is on the other foot they complain about the Church opining about the State, and tell the State to go after Church.

ChatBots are Diagnosing Diseases that Don’t Exist Based on Blog Posts Transcript: Many years ago, a friend of mine suggested an experiment: make up a conspiracy theory that was just plausible enough, and then track how far it spreads. It was fun to talk about, and he…

A researcher says she made up a disease with two posts on Medium, which led to Copilot telling users it was "intriguing and relatively rare." Posting two preprint papers about it online led to ChatGPT diagnosing people with it. 🧪

Politics Disguised as Prosecution: DOJ Claims Biden's Administration Was Wrong To Prosecute Violence At Clinics And prosecutors get caught in the crossfire

DOJ released a report claiming the Biden administration “weaponized” it when it prosecuted violations of a law that prohibits violence, threats, intimidation or obstruction used to prevent people from entering reproductive health clinics. That report, debunked here: open.substack.com/pub/joycevan...

Ah, the text of the law says the commission begins functions in January 2029. It's definitely not about getting rid pf Trump, it's about setting up the Commission for the future.
