Kaleidoscopes: Stories of women, trauma and survivance
We have the honor to be joined for a public lecture by Carol Djeddah (Ethnopsychotherapeut, Rome) and
for a public reading by Igiaba Scego (Author of Cassandra a Mogadiscio, Rome).
The workshop aims to investigate the proposed theme from different interdisciplinary perspectives:
linguistics and language studies, narrative and literary science, ethnopsychology and ethnopsychiatry as
well as therapy. We are looking forward to contributions that address
- intersectional and feminist approaches to trauma and language(s),
- experiences from speakers in marginalized positions,
- multidimensional analysis of the intersections of trauma, language and gender,
- …
The meeting language is mainly English, with translations for the keynotes being provided from Italian to
English or vice versa. Feel free to provide slides and abstracts in English and use Italian or other
languages in your contributions. We aim to raise funding so that we can provide translation from Italian
into English for a limited number of presenters who prefer to present only in Italian.

Ich muss zugeben, bei mir ist es dann wohl manchmal das Gefühl, sobald das durchdacht ist, ist das 'nur mehr schreiben' ein bißchen uninteressant... eine Haltung, die ein wenig egoistisch gegenüber den Lesenden ist 😆

Also ich kann @realscientists.de nur beipflichten: Pläne und Strukturen für Kapitel mache ich liebend gern. Aber wenn der Text mal geschrieben ist, muss ich mich immer überwinden, den nochmal 'mit anderen Augen' zu lesen, geschweige denn gröber umzubauen.
