Well he was ousted from Labour as a result of an isnotreal backed smear campaign. In 2017 he was pro-self ID for trans people. He also made a similar statement to Sultana about the role back of trans rights recently so hopefully his views have shifted. But I get your concern.

I agree. The progressives should have quit a long time ago but hopefully this new party will be the party we need. If not we all abandon it and go elsewhere. I suspect the progressives who stuck around were hoping to change Labour back to the Left, but with Kier there was no chance of that.

This is only the beginning, if it turns out that Sultana is yet another disappointment then we will all abandon this new party. So far she has always been on the right side of history. Caution is wise though
