We still have all these very adoptable kittens waiting for homes somehow: Goomba, Toadette, Carol & Hubert, and Soda Can
They're getting close to 1 year old and are getting passed up for younger kittens. They're all extremely sweet”

🚨 Haley/@feederofcats’s Friends of Bear Cat Rescue needs your help! Somehow these adorable kittens STILL haven’t been adopted! As they say “These babies deserve homes and families, not to be sitting in an enclosure for a year”. Please spread the word! In CA? Adopt! www.friendsofbearcatrescue.org!

⚠ PSA vgen reference scam
this just happened to me (didn't download the file no worries)
don't download .html reference files from vgen
as for commissioners, if you're using your email instead of a vgen account I'd suggest uploading .jpg/.png files for your character references instead of links! 👀

A collage of fourteen by eight squares containing examples of gravitational lenses. Each example typically comprises a bright centre with smears of stars in an arc or multiple arcs around it as a result of light travelling towards Euclid from distant galaxies being bent and distorted by normal and dark matter in the foreground. In some rare cases the smearing is in a complete ring, creating a so-called Einstein Ring.
Help us hunt for signs of spacetime warping! 🔎
Join Euclid Space Warps on @zooniverse.bsky.social and search for strong gravitational lenses in never-before-seen images from our Dark Universe detective 🕵️ 👉 www.esa.int/Science_Expl...

lots of weird takes on here today so my contributions are:
-potatoes are great
-women should be able to WFH during periods
-sheets should be washed weekly
-life coaching and self-help can be useful but systemic discrimination can still be greater than individual effort
-medium roast coffee > dark

Ray Bradbury quote: You don't have to burn books to destroy a culture. Just get people to stop reading them.
Censorship doesn’t always look like fire. Sometimes it looks like quiet removals, restricted access, or making books harder to find. When stories disappear, so do the voices, histories & ideas that shape understanding. This isn’t just about books. It’s about keeping critical thinking alive.

Fishtopher, a classic brown tabby cat with green eyes, laying on his back in a sunny windowsill. His head presses against the ground and his canine teeth peek out from gravity. Behind him is a black cat in a yellow cat bed. Next to him is another tabby cat. Fish's body is curled to fit himself in between them, and his front paws are tucked towards his body.
Fishtopher in the same position as the last photo, but now has his front legs stretched out. He shows off his underbelly.

We need to bring back proper privacy and internet safety. Because I recall telling people that it's a bad idea to use irl names on your socmeds, and they didn't even see a problem.
The AV shit is NOT making anybody any safer 🙃 We know why this shit is happening. 2/2

LRP- I'm completely unsurprised at this point ngl. I saw it coming. We saw it coming.
Gov and cybersec ppl spent years teaching internet safety. And now gov is all "oh, you must give these information we TOLD you to NOT give away over the internet to websites to use the site" 1/2

Unhappy to report the phishing one is quickly becoming a real problem now. Why go to the trouble of social engineering when people will just give up their ID, financial info, biometrics, etc. to an AV portal? There's no standards so how can you differentiate a fake one from a real one?

We need to make it clear now that men (let's be honest, it will be men) wear these and violate the social contract at their own risk. You violate me in any way, I can't be held responsible for what happens to you next.

Pancreatic cancer mRNA vaccine shows lasting results in an early trial
Scientists caution that more research is needed, but nearly all of the patients who responded to the personalized vaccine are still alive six years later.

This is why we should fund science. 🧪

It annoys me that AI slop, specifically, has ruined the niche of the quick photoshop joke.
Just an utter flood of garbage unleashed by removing the barrier of "spend a couple hours learning how a piece of software works".
