🟦 Sources that repeat misinformation outperform credible sources, with up to 8X more engagement per follower on YouTube.

Much has been said about political incivility, but does it actually exist? 🤷‍♀️

1️⃣ Les président·es de partis génèrent systématiquement plus d’engagement que les comptes officiels de leur formation, quel que soit le parti (3X plus en moyenne). Ce constat tend à confirmer la personnalisation (et surtout la « présidentialisation ») de la communication politique belge.

One of our findings is that out of the 8,500+ posts that contain at least one type of attack, policy-focused attacks remain relatively civil (47% of such posts are uncivil), whereas personal-based attacks tend to be particularly uncivil (67%).
