Related but not yet incorporated - average trip times on I-5 from Lynnwood to Seattle have been around 75 minutes during construction. The train takes 33 minutes and runs every 4-5.

Even pre Crosslake those numbers will continue to go up

Spotted on the 8 this morning, although the official go live for ORCA contactless payment is Monday! Adult fare riders will be able to use physical and phone wallet credit cards to tap, a feature that will include the usual two hour transfers. Huge for occasional riders, especially sports fans

Day 3 of simulated service for the 2 Line and it’s still just so cool how much of an improvement this level of service is for Seattle. I have ridden the train 8 times and waited a total of like 5 minutes

There’s a lot to love and some stuff to improve on, but that’s what testing is all about!

It was also very fun to see how excited passengers were about the new trains

It’s absolutely baffling to see the idea of studying rail expansion treated as an attack on Virginia Beach.

You have existing right of way through high demand areas that would really help people who rely on transit from across the region - what’s so scary about a study
