Chiefs moving to Kansas with $3.3 billion plan for domed stadium, training facility • Kansas Reflector Kansas legislative leadership voted unanimously Monday to issue STAR bonds to build a football stadium for the Kansas City Chiefs, following a short meeting behind closed doors.

The "illustrative" map of the STAR Bond district for the Chiefs includes all of Wyandotte County, Bonner, Edwardsville, Shawnee, Lenexa and Olathe! Wow. 😂

I wonder when the yelling started at Gates? Was it like that from the beginning or was it just one lady and then everyone started doing it?

I totally agree, but improving quality of life and making a great city becomes harder when all your businesses leave for a handout from Kansas and you don't have a tax base. We need businesses to locate here w/o providing tax breaks. That will be difficult as long as KS is willing to roll over.

In addition to this, if you are pissed off about the Chiefs and Royals getting incentives to jump the state line, you better keep that same energy for Lockton or the many other companies taking millions in decades long tax brakes to move a few short miles away.

The economic development border war may be the biggest challenge facing the Kansas City region today. It only benefits corporations and the rich while being destructive to tax revenues and providing no positive benefits to residents of either side of the state line.
