We’re still feeling the consequences of stocking in the late 1800’s that bought time from logging. The trout they stocked spread like wildfire and are outnumbering our native trout. The #4 threat to brook trout in my state is brown trout.

There’s also the issue of propagating and stocking nonnative trout that often negatively impact wild native trout/char to increase the abundance of trout for sport. That’s the lesson I’ve learned from flyfishing and looking deeper into the pool that is ecology.

The importance of honor and dignity is completely gone at this point. They realized that stuff doesn’t really matter as much as people thought. Ironic that congress made such a big deal about divestiture of a social media app, but this crap is fine.
