It’s atprotoffical! Join me this Saturday to watch me build an atproto app from scratch on stream.place.

I use @vivaldi.com and I'm very happy with it. Ad blocking is not as good as Brave's, but productivity features are better
One of the most satisfying things I'm doing lately is reading about Amazon's degradation in @doctorow.pluralistic.net's Enshittification book on my jailbraked Kindle
Amazon arbitrarily decided that your old Kindle is obsolete. If buying isn't owning, piracy isn't stealing. Jailbreak your Kindle
Hi @tuta.com! Are you planning to release a standalone Contacts app? It will be a very welcomed feature. The actual contacts sync is decent, but it is lacking full integration with the phone.
And there are more than 10K folks in the Eurosky PDS, showing that it works fine. So on top of not needing invitation, you don't need to do much of jump of trust here knowing that a ton of others Europeans already did it first.
I donated as well.

Whoever is doing the copywriting over at @eurosky.social continues to slam dunk. We don’t need a bunch of new perfect nouns for things we already have perfectly good vocab for.
Three features I love from @skywalker.thereforeiam.eu:
* Unroll thread
* Unwrap quotes
* Interact with inactive account
There are many more I still need to explore.
What I'm missing:
* Select text for copying
Overall, I think it is the best app for microblogging in the #ATmosphere
No worries 😊
I'm using Skywalker app for Bluesky and I love it. Give it a try: @skywalker.thereforeiam.eu
An open web app for the EU is something the EU could help fund no @vonderleyen.ec.europa.eu ?
Panel with Bluesky and Mastodon at the International Journalism Festival
Felix, CEO of Mastodon, and I hope to collaborate more. Mastodon has wide adoption in Europe and 8k communities (servers) running independently. The customization they give communities is inspiring to me. Public squares should be a gathering place for you to discover cozier corners/communities.
Let's go!
Together we are strong 💪🏻
Together we are Europe 🇪🇺
Meta just banned ads recruiting teens for addiction lawsuit after being found negligent. The current social web is broken. We need a European, open, and ethical alternative like @eurosky.social built for our people. 🇪🇺 www.axios.com/2026/04/09/m...
I’ve already donated! Please help @eurosky.social build the European open social network infrastructure!
¡Ya he donado! Ayuda a @eurosky.social a construir la infraestructura de red social abierta europea.
If anyone wants a video explaining Eurosky, here you go youtu.be/FgTemyBFpgc?...
Yesterday Bluesky went down. @eurosky.social servers worked but we couldn't communicate as we don't have an app.
Our next step is to build everything we need to operate without Bluesky. We're raising €100,000 to build a European app backend supporting 100k+ users.
Let's do this

Today we’re releasing Portal - a new interface for your account and what we hope will become a new home for your on the web.
This is is just the start, we’ll be adding features and integrations over the coming months. Check it out and let us know what you think.

We are seeing similarly wrong-headed, untargeted policy decisions happen today. Spain has already allocated €5 billion to cuts to VAT on energy and fuel duties. This is an order of magnitude more than the €400 million earmarked for EV subsidies in 2026, and almost twice the sum Spain devoted to all its measures for electric mobility between 2021 and 2025 (€2.7 billion, including both EV subsidies and investment in charging infrastructure). Italy’s emergency measures including fuel duty cuts will cost it €1 billion over two months – more than the €600 million recently allocated to EV subsidies. Poland’s cuts in fuel taxes will cost €370 million a month.

10.014 people on Eurosky
While the Bluesky-world appeared to have come to a halt yesterday, we quietly passed the 10,000 user milestone on our @eurosky.social PDS.
Amazon should not arbitrarily decide when the Kindle you paid for is obsolete. Jailbreak it and own your own Kindle.
I did it a few weeks ago and now I'm reading about Amazon's enshittification in @doctordoctorow.pluralistic.net's DRM-free book in my Kindle.
The hardware still works. It's the software that's horrible. This can be remedied.

Nice setup! I have @linkna.me on my radar but don't have enough time to test it at the moment and I'm also not sure what do I want to do it with it neither
Why does it need to be built in both? I would say as long as it built on atproto is part of the atmosphere. For example, @tangled.org is not built on Bluesky, and it is part of the atmosphere
Hi @flashes.blue! I think your app brings a very needed diversity to the #atmosphere. Any updates on the Android app? It's been a while since the last news about it. Thanks 😊
Some thoughts on a taxonomy of ATmospheric apps. I see an ecosystem developing with three categories:
- Symbionts, tightly coupled with Bsky;
- Offshoots, growing large, parallel communities; and
- Cuckoos, which scan as skeuomorphic clones on ATproto but go beyond.

En 2006 Facebook decía que la gran diferencia con MySpace es que ellos no eran gigante que te iba a espiar. Les faltó añadir un "por ahora".
