Norman Stevens was one of the great painters and printmakers of his generation. He studied at Bradford School of Art alongside Hockney, John Loker and David Oxtoby and was the first of this group to continue his studies in London. This is 'Spring,' from 1976.

Can paintings of foxes ever make #foxoftheday status? ✨

I know the good stuff they’re doing. Talking about their response to the Green win being totally tone-deaf.

Hearing angered MPs claim Burnham would have won it misses the point. Labour needs to stop chasing the Reform vote and get the soul back into their politics

Yes this is exactly right. Most of what I’ve heard today from Labour MPs and the PM has just made me think they’ve been missing the whole point. People don’t want divisions, they don’t want racism, they don’t want politics of fear, we’re tired of it. Starmer claiming Greens are extreme is divisive

Labour MP Ian Byrne: "The lines from the PM and Cabinet today essentially labelling the Green Party as extremist is appalling, desperate and frankly embarrassing.

"It also makes very clear that the leadership has zero understanding of where it has been going wrong."

I don’t really care whether Labour or the Greens win Gorton and Denton as long as Farage’s Reform company don’t.

My sister called her GP this week about the same thing and was told she’s ’playing the menopause card’…WTF kind of card is that??? I had no idea we were so backwards about menopausal healthcare here!

🚨 “Can I tell you how many times in the last 45 years the European Court of Human Rights has ruled against the UK when it comes to deporting people from this country - only 13 times - in 45 years”

Hugely important point made by @vicderbyshire.bsky.social 👏

ICYMI — “I identified myself as a U.S. citizen and a veteran, but that didn't matter. ICE Agents smashed my window, sprayed tear gas and pepper spray into my car, dragged me out… this experience violated the very principles I fought to defend.”

Reform accepted £9 million from a former Boris Johnson backer & crypto-multimillionaire.

Today, Nigel Farage postures as a righteous defender of the same democracy he actively undermines.

Democracy should never be for sale. It's time for a cap on political donations.

I no longer live in London, but it’s been imperative to me to remain connected to it for its vitality, diversity, history, culture and so much more. Please check out Josh Homme’s love letter to London. I got goosebumps!

Nigel Farage doesn’t think the Prime Minister should have free speech in this country. But he’ll tell foreigners that yours is somehow under threat from the Prime Minister. He’s a whiny little liar. Always has been. Always will be.

Donald Trump is a problem for all of us, not just America.

Trump is leading the global attack on human rights from funding genocide, overturning abortion access and militarizing cities across the US.

We cannot be silent and we cannot be complicit.

It's just so very tiring.
But it looks like it needs to be said again and again.

A recent painting on a larger scale, so I can keep figuring out how to use my technique to create bigger paintings, as I start to consider what I want my MA show to be in September ✨💚

To the world:
We are fighting back. Our movement has been silenced by the media here—but we are not backing down. This is what our streets looked like across multiple cities. Tomorrow, there will be more of us! Raise a glass to freedom.
