finally found the right boxes where thin sections fit perfectly! a bit ££ but worth every penny 💙
In her State of the Union, Ursula von der Leyen chose silence on the alarming situation in Serbia. A silence that looks less like prudence and more like embarrassment—because her party family, the EPP, still counts Vučić’s SNS among its members. Is it complicity, indifference, or fear of discomfort?
👏👏👏 👏👏

Amidst all terrible news, I am sad that here it is not better. Today the VU Amsterdam announced they'll cut Earth Sciences, and fire 39 staff. 130 students are left to figure out how to finish, and an unknown number of PhDs lose their supervisors. My heart goes out to my colleagues 😳😥
VU University Amsterdam is going to be closing their Earth Sciences bachelor's program and some of the relevant research (some will go to Utrecht University or other departments) as the university shifts more towards "climate and earth". ⚒️

I was taught by the best people in their fields, including isotope geochemistry, geochronology, and tectonics. I will never forget the field trips to the Alps and Cyprus and our amazing expedition to Western Australia to hunt for 3Gy old stromatolites. 🪨🖤
