I expect Manchester City to win the league on points from here but imagine it comes down to goal difference and that weird one they disallowed at Anfield actually matters. Would be wonderful banter.

I don't really have much feedback on this one game. My frustration is it took this game for Arteta to change something and for us to try and play with a bit more quality & intent.
In isolation this performance was fine but in the context of the season and what's come before it this is disastrous.
Just spotted that water bottle bastard is sat next to our dugout. I'm sure that's just coincidence.
If you said to me back in August when we lined up at Old Trafford that we'd be in a 'win a game win the league' situation in April I'd absolutely have taken it.
Easier games sure but time for this group to earn the title. Show we've actually grown since this game and situation in 22/23.

Given our current form, avoiding defeat next week irrespective of what comes afterwards would be huge. A win obviously preferable but feels unlikely. A draw would be a great result given where we find ourselves right now.q
My prediction is a repeat of the cup final.
Obviously no one wants a defeat. It feels pretty inevitable at the moment though. The only solace I can take is a change in attitude from the players. Feels like they've just accepted the recent results rather than trying to do anything about it. Change either way might be a good thing this summer.
Yes as I said I have no confidence that we can land a punch on them offensively and their attack will likely overwhelm us. Don't think it will be anything like a 5-0. Just hope to see some desire to get a result rather than the passive acceptance when it isn't going well that we've seen lately.
Yeah very much agree. Even so, I just want to see some actual desire. If we lose next week and play in the manner we have recently then I'd have no reason to back anyone involved on or off the pitch going forward.
If this doesn't stir something up in the Arsenal camp, then not much will.
A draw next week would be a fantastic result in the context of the run in.
The issue is that if City score one I have no confidence that we can land a punch back. Criminal that we're in this position.
Imagine being able to change the momentum of a game at half time. Must be nice.
Every year we end up with one of these runs & we manage to fuck it up.
I can accept an off day but at least show some desire. Subs didn't change anything, Bournemouth scoring didn't fire up a response. Same old story recently.
A 12 point gap was on the table. Now it's in City's hands. Disgraceful.
Nothing compares to this feeling ♥️
Mo Salah is in the top 2-3 Premier League players of all time.
Have never felt he got the credit he deserves. 281 goal contributions for Liverpool in 309 games.
Absolutely insane. Terrorised the very best teams for nearly a decade.
£40m - what a signing and what a player.
Annoyingly, City looked as sterile as we often do in attack. Loads of possession and balls into the box but ultimately didn't generate much by way or chances. 2 shots on target and 2 goals. It was a classic Arsenal performance but against us.
We did nothing to move City out of their shape. Declan doesn't seem to be influencing much further forward at all. Zubimendi doesn't pass progressively enough either.
I think we have a really big CM problem. Not a lot of quick incisive play goes through the middle for us. Very reliant on the width. We played one period of quick combination football through the middle today and it moved City around and created space. Unfortunately it came with 5 to go at 2-0 down.
Not sure if we'll get it but I'd be really keen to see Eze, Saka, Madueke behind the striker. Constant rotations. Popping up across each position of the front 3. Unpredictable, hard to plan for. Movement. Generally I find our play far too static which is a large reason we struggle offensively.
Big problem is that typically full back doesn't overlap. His midfielders don't move and once he's beaten one he has to beat another without any support from his teammates. At his best was when we built around him with the Ødegaard/White/Saka triangle but now it seems like we leave him to do it all.
If we go and win the league and no one will care about today. Liverpool lost this last season and I doubt they gave a fuck in May.
However I won't forget some of those performances today including from the manager. I just do not trust this team to show up when it matters.
Gyokores stopped playing and running after about 30 minutes. Gave up his press in the first half and never even tried to get going again.
If you're going to play with Kepa then don't play like you've got Raya in goal. Kepa had the ball at his feet far too much.
His ability (or lack of) means the ball is only going to go to one of his CBs. City pressed high, it was exactly what they would've wanted.
We were comfortable and in control and then just stopped trying to have any sort of proper possession.
We absolutely started to hoof it long and hope for knock downs and second balls. We lost almost every duel and just invited city to come again and again
We stopped playing after 30 minutes. Started to play long balls and tried to turn it into a 1v1 game. Even after their goals we sustained nothing, we didn't threaten at all.
It was cowardly from Arsenal. We got exactly what we deserved. These players think they're better than they are.
Unprofessional from every single player besides William Saliba. They're all pathetic
West Ham play Wolves on the Friday night after the International break.
Very likely Spurs kick off away at Sunderland on the Sunday in the relegation zone.
Very very very funny
Not trying to police fans at all here but the scenes from Spurs fans before they play the team 17th in the table are very very very funny
