One thing that gets very little talk in my view is the massive gap caused by Trent leaving. His ability to switch play and quickly transition. Think it gets overlooked because of the feelings about his departure and that he didn't have his best season last year.

lots of mitigations for this season but ultimately he's not managed to get them playing cohesive football nor seems to be clarity on a plan so I'm very concerned for next season being more of the same

Given where the majority of the fan base now are on Slot (both online and hear on podcasts from those who are regular anfield attendees).. this will be a big concern

There are many mitigations this season but ultimately I think most fans are at the position that we see no game plan, no development, huge fragility, lack of physicality, and lack of ideas. So unfortunately a change is needed. Prob at end of season... Not keen on interim manager idea

I think it’s a fair point. I’d have been absolutely fuming about ethics if it was Johnson. Though difference here would seem to be less about corruption and cronyism and more cynicism..
