ppl were consistent during phase 1 and replica 1+2 for the most part, Idyllic was something else too 😂 My last 2 clears were only possible bc of healer LB3 during towers. And before that happened the party got yeeted off the arena multiple times 😂
(Sorry I keep forgetting to reply. Anyway!) yeah I feel late into the tier this is bound to happen. When I cleared w the group in the picture there was only like 2? fresh clears and the rest were helpers. So many ppl probably cleared wo fully understanding the mechs. While on Mana I think—

Agreed! I think the game is designed around player having three hearts as well! Dying to an aoe is intentional.
Sometimes if I and my monstie can’t survive, at least losing one heart is better than two and I can pop some items or skill to do so. It’s totally manageable.
The Heroic Testament deco is totally busted. Improving pretty much all stats (someone said it even boosts wyvernfell damage?? unsure if true)
Ppl who have an XL is gonna be playing a totally different game
When I thought about possible post-game story, at first I wonder how they’d balance the difficulty.
But now I wouldn’t mind getting story contents that’s designed for ppl who don’t fight elder dragons even tho it’s going to be too easy for my team. I’d be happy to continue after the ending 😭
Like you don’t need a specific monstie/build/gear to clear even the hardest fight.
There’s even ppl who came up with a chess strat that made their single monstie nearly invincible against Narwa and Ibushi. It’s so impressive 🤣
After I beat a tough fight in stories 3 I like to look up what setup other ppl used and they’re almost all the times different than mine. I love this game 😭
I had to use a completely different strategy than what I used in the majority of the game to clear this and it really made me appreciate the battle design even more 😭

I wonder if the devs just didn’t want to make elder dragons too gimmicky??? Bc compared to invasive monsters those are more creative so it’s not like they’re all just aoe spams.
I know not everyone likes the AOE spam design that we got in Stories 3 but I personally enjoyed it a lot. Made every hard fight feels very intense 😂
Although I’d welcome more design varieties in future updates as well
