Here's an old leaflet from my collection for you :)

This is the memorial near the place where he fell.

There used to be really interesting graffiti down by the lift bridge. This was March 2024.

Jumping Someone Else's Train - The Cure
The music was good in there. Must have been 80/81 when I went.
I still have Caroline's old bass guitar case - she gave me it when they got an advance and bought new gear.
I'd forgotten all about the Grill. Glad to see it's still going!
That's definitely Ross & Donald in the photo. They also supported PIL at the Apollo in Nov 1983 and New Model Army in Dec 1984 at Moray House in Edinburgh.
Hooray! Booked!
We really were spoiled for choice back then. The Film Soc was about £10 for the year I think.
According to my notes, they're in a storage unit so I will retrieve them next time I'm there. In the meantime here are a few EIFF programmes I just found.
I'm now trying to remember whether it was in the Filmhouse or the Cameo where I saw it when it came out. I've got a boxful of filmhouse programmes from the 80's somewhere, I'll have to dig them out.
I have a vague memory of them doing a competition where you had to write a story including words from a list like 'eye' and 'ice'. It might have been in a tour programme in the UK - probably in the 1980's. Does anyone else remember that?
I was out for a walk near St Fillans a few years back, crested a rise, and there were these bad boys lying in wait. The quizzical one is my favourite.
Ah, the heady days of reasonable drink prices and stylish footwear.
It looks like it downed a bottle of vodka before going on stage.
Thanks for the background. I'm glad the photo wasn't lost - it brought back some happy memories for me.
I'll be singing this next time I do the washing up. "White on white translucent black plates
Back on the rack"
That's a great photo. Here's a hand drawn cover of a mix tape Jane made for me round about that time.
Waiting for the sound of thunder. No reason other than I can imagine it in my head.
I'm bracing myself just in case.
Happy publication day! Looking forward to this. Although it's sad when things come to an end.
Reminds me of the time the pope came to Edinburgh. Nuns were calling out ‘John Paul’ as he went past and a bunch of guys behind them were shouting ‘George & Ringo’
Happy birthday. I hope the hedgehags baked you a cake.

Picture is of a double page story in the Tufty annual warning of the perils of going near a canal if you are a child.
I still have my annual. Here's the chilling tale of Tommy's Little Boat....
I once helped Zerra 1 bump start their car as they had a flat battery - it was after a Banshees gig. Nice guys - I always thought they deserved more success.
Still got my UK ones after all these years and no bits missing!
