I can't handle another book filled with interesting, compelling, unique characters, doomed relationships and heartbreakingly beautiful moments. "Never Known Men" is even harder than "Mount Char" because as an #audhd I hear myself so clearly in the semi-epistolary style of the narrator.
For real, I don't remember the last time I had to put a book down so I could just cry it out. "I Who Have Never Known Men" broke me and I'm only about 2/3 of the way through. Probably doesn't help that I just finished "The Library at Mount Char", though. Next read is going to be silly fluff.
Oh, go jump in a lake, #jacquelineharpman! How DARE you write a (~30ish year old) story and make me ugly-cry on a Sunday afternoon! I can't finish this stupid #scifi, #dystopian, book right now because I can't read words!
