Justin absolutely did not prove what company that money went to or did not
Justin did not provide a counter factual but another interpretation.
And harper hasn't denied it - and Epstein was allowed into Canada in 2014. So, maybe send a less useless email to get some good answers.
I see your assessment, I think it's fair, but it's also not any different than the work OP did. You're seeing the same thing and concluding something else, which is fine.
Comment from Harper / an outside source would be the "journalism" of it all.
Figured I should look into the consumer advocate and the PUB. Last year Dennis billed us for 700 hours at 200/h, his firm got paid about 70k and he got 140k.
Last year his firm got 107k but he only got 118k. A good raise and a hell of a part time job.
Cross post bonzana with some energy stuff this morning as we ask, 'What is a price?'

"Les prix sont faits pour dire les coûts, comme les horloges sont faites pour dire l'heure."
Good, good.
I'm probably going to keep forgetting to post here, BUT NL Power - a Fortis Company - uses Microsoft Excel to predict power demand and that is very funny.
In which I engage in redundancy - "crazy" & "bonkers" are the same thing:
"Political scientist says 'corruption' and 'smugness' cost N.L. Liberals last election" - CBC NL
Good morning @acollierastro.bsky.social and thak you for all your good words on physics! I am a casual, but was wondering if you had any discussions up on Dr. Wiltshire's timescape? Thanks!
John's quote on total energy produced is still super wrong even after he revised down from his triple in the financial post.

Alright you gotta hear me out good guy #energy brain trust
Hey Blueberries I'm not here often but I felt you all deserved to see this
Titled: why I want to attend the Energy NL conference
ISO-NE and NYISO did make exigent circumstances filings with FERC on Friday 🔌💡
Basically saying "we need to do something right now, please approve, even if it's not perfect" (snipping ISO-NE)

Aaaaanyone know how to get ahold of Bill Wells, former Hydro CEO?

The Churchill falls MOU is mortgaging our future
Uwu
Just to toss some MOU thoughts on here;
It costs less than 0.1c/kwh to make power at the existing Churchill Falls site.
Power from new hydro builds will likely be 10-12c/kwh. New nuclear is suggested to be 16c/kwh.
Rate payers on the island will get none of the 0.1c power. That's bad.
Merry Christmas don't trust the Germans
The paradigm shifts on a winter peaking grid.
All those heat pumps need a lot of electricity when it’s cold.
Value of solar declines, and wind might not be there when you need it. People point their finger at gas when it doesn’t perform, without being honest about what makes it the keystone
Sometimes you gotta make your own graphs for the government after they've spent years in negotiations and are running ads pretending its done

Here's the data from the #churchillfalls MOU
The Speaker of the House has confirmed the House of Assembly will reopen Jan. 6 to debate the Churchill Falls MOU. PC leader Tony Wakeham is now calling for an independent PUB review, release of the 2023 Expert Panel Report, and to engage expert panels for each project. #nlpoli
I'm sorry blue sky I've already cross posted so much we are hosed on this new churchill deal tho. Qc will have rights to 80% of the juice in Labrador and still well below market rates.
Dog shit deal for us in particular after 2041
As far as I can tell any talk of now comes from a promise to backdate to Jan 1 2025. But vocm is reporting nothing will be signed til April 2026 for actually changing the contract.
With this announcement, Newfoundland has become the MOU capital of Canada
Here you can take an Amazon Drone built by Carl Dymond, fueled by hydrogen that also fuels Germany, to a brighter future

Today Newfoundland will sign the largest MOU since Carl Dymond was last in town
