I cringe so hard on my past choices that I can barely look myself in the mirror most days. I am ashamed and I am pushing through and giving myself grace with each day. My anxiety is crippling and I fear affecting my son's life negatively.
Now that I am in my 30s, I have left alcohol and other substance dependency behind. Does the mourning process still happen? Yes. I have developed an intense fear of being outside and my own mortality.
I lost my father to lung cancer when I was 25. One of the most traumatic moments of my life. After, I then spent the next 5 years mourning, making terrible decisions. Dependent on alcohol and dabbled in other substances just to cope.
