Rock was always fucking brilliant at insulting folk.

Brock doesn’t get enough flowers. It’s easy to dunk on him now with all the Vince stuff, but I don’t think folk get just how good he and Kurt were.

I stuck Armageddon 2003 on the other night forgetting it was the same day the Yanks caught Saddam and it opens with Lillian Garcia doing the National Anthem.

Just an unrivalled time.

George Archibald Scott died on January 14th 1937, at the age of 71 and was buried in Cadder Cemetery in Bishopbriggs, which is a short walk from my home.

Thankfully, his gravestone is still standing and legible. I took this, among others, for the Findagrave profile.

"Geordie" remained at Cowlairs until retirement in 1930, spending his golden years as a member and later President of Bishopbriggs Bowling Club. He can be seen in this 1920 photo, which the club graciously provided for me.

Following a brief loan at Kilmarnock in 1897, Scott hung up his boots, but would make a one-off appearance in 1902 in a friendly to raise funds for the injured and bereaved of the 1902 Ibrox Disaster.

This successful era for Hearts and George continued the following season when they won their second Scottish Cup, defeating bitter rivals Hibernian in the only Final contested outside Glasgow - at Edinburgh's New Logie Green - but Scott wasn't in the side.

Further success would come the way of The Jam Tarts and Scott in the 1894-95 season, when Hearts took the league flag to Tynecastle for the first of four (at the time of writing this) occasions.

Like most footballers of his era, Scott, who was born in Scoonie, had a profession outside of football.

He worked at the Cowlairs Railway Works in Springburn; it was from Cowlairs that he joined Hearts in 1889.

Today, the site of the works is near the Beam Suntory Distillery.

#BornOnThisDay #160YearsAgo #HMFC legend George Archibald “Geordie” Scott.

He was Hearts’ top goalscorer in the inaugural season of the Scottish Football League in 1890-91.

He would win the Scottish Cup with Hearts that season, beating joint-champions Dumbarton 1-0.

Changes I Would Make to The Sopranos

1. Tone down the violence. Not necessary.

2. Lose the swearing. Viewers don't want to hear that sort of thing. This could be done by having the opening scene involve Tony and his friends agreeing to a “No Swearing” challenge.

3. Drop the mafia stuff. Doesn't add anything to the story.

4. Instead, Tony manages a reputable shoe shop.

5. No guns. The manager of a reputable shoe shop has no use for weapons.

6. Tony's surname should also be Tony. This would make it easier for viewers to remember his full name.

7. The main storyline could be about the challenges of running a physical shoe shop in the age of online shopping.

8. Tony's best friends should all be sopranos in a local choir so that the title of the show makes sense.

9. Every episode ends with the choir singing a lovely song about their friend Tony Tony.

The Sopranos was a popular TV show but with a few changes, I believe it could have been even more popular. Here are the changes I would make
