It’s not easy to speak up when you feel like doing so proves everyone’s worst assumptions about you.
But I know I’m not alone in feeling this.
And maybe if more of us say it out loud, we can begin to make things safer not just for ourselves, but for everyone.
Sometimes it's okay to not feel okay.

Working along side others from my time at the NHSE LGBT Sounding Board, we have supported the creation of the LGBTQ+ self assessment for Health and Care organisations. This document will be launched on 2nd June 2025 with organisations asked to submit their completed checklist in September.
