No, this wasn’t possible. You can model it with the forces they had at the time, where they’d stage from, which units etc. Just wasn’t enough. Ru had a massive overwhelming advantage in the south. Plus a modern army fighting on 2 other axes. Very few countries could deal with that.

in fairness the paper you’re almost certainly thinking of doesn’t actually argue that/come to those conclusions. It’s misrepresented a lot online.
