There’s a few, involved with this journey, who’ll have their status cemented with a trophy in Ollie, McGinn, Mings even the man who wants out in Emi.

That’s another good read and highlights the inconsistency in the system which is designed to remove any inconsistencies.

Well worth a read. The Super League by another name.

One point though, Juventus were in the champions league the season we got to quarters as we played them? Is this an error or am I reading it wrong?

They aren’t even hiding the fact it’s a closed shop.
SCR, FER and value-pillars: all built to ensure the ‘big clubs’ keep everyone else at bay. Super League by another name.

UEFA paid Juventus €33.41m in 2024-25. Juventus didn't qualify for the Knockout Stage. UEFA paid Aston Villa €19.85m. Villa reached the quarter-finals.
The Value Pillar. The mechanism UEFA doesn't want you to understand.

But much of this comes from the bias already engrained.

It looks like it could/should be so I’ll slow it down and it definitely is.

The laws are subjective, nothing is ‘definitely’

I’d hope we wouldn’t need to sell any stars but I think there is some change and freshening needed.
Wouldn’t sign Luiz.
Think we get a GK, RB, CM, couple of wide players/attacking 10s and a forward. Ultimately will all depend on who we sell….

I don’t see a market for him at that cost but happy to be proven wrong.

Don’t think he will command a £200k+ pw anywhere.

Telling you, it’s West Brom….!

Had that this year. Was an absolute delight.

His choice was Martinez though just after the summer….

They won’t get a fine for that.

They’ve owned up to it and cooperated with the investigation….

£500k for ‘slowing the game’ which has little to no impact.
£10m for cheating to win trophies 🤔

Why does he hate us so much? A baggie I reckon.

I hope I’m wrong but can’t see as many being affected as we hope…

Still don’t think it’s ‘brutal’ though. Fringe players and those on wane leave.

I agree, if we can, he goes. Depends on the fee.

I don’t think we get a buyer, do you?

Then if a stupid offer comes in for one of the big guns, you have to take it but allows money to further re-invest? Young CB/RB etc.

The likes of Wilson, Senesi, Sancho etc all available without fees (but likely decent wages) but that will allow a couple of exciting forward additions?

We sell: Martinez, Gauci, Garcia, Nedelikojvic, Özçan, Buendia, Bailey, Barrenenchea, SIL, Guessand, Malen and Dobbin.

There’s roughly £90-100m in that without affecting the squad (if buyers). If we can be smart with out of contract players, won’t that leave some space for a couple of ££ signings?

Brutal? Think they need to be more pragmatic.
Many will talk of keeping Buendia ‘as a useful squad option’ but he’s shown this year he can play premier league football and our last chance to get anything for him so we sell but keep Barkley for example?
I’m not sure the changes needed are brutal.
