It’s interesting that I don’t see the vitriol and snide comments on other platforms such as this as I do on Twitter. Make no mistake. It’s not that I avoid criticism. I just prefer constructive over irrational.

I’m going to have to finish this piece at home. It’s the Catch-22 of doing these pieces. People are here at the convention because of what one does, but it’s been busier than expected, thus I’m spending more time selling and taking orders than actual drawing.
Is that a regal presence or what? I pose alongside one of Jack Kirby’s greatest creations, none other than the Black Panther. Artists please note: I’m average guy height while the Panther is your typical superhero height.

I told Henry he was too young to be a fan but his family convinced me otherwise, and he had me sign his Wolverine helmet. (Well, I am here because my brother X-MEN Animated Series Producer-Director Larry Houston couldn’t make it, so the connection is there.)
I guess I made Lisa’s day as she’s a fan from way back when and couldn’t resist getting the KNUCKLES OMNIBUS. She can’t wait to share her love of Archie SONIC with her daughter, who took the picture. (And yes, she had me sign the book personally to her.)

I’ve been working long hours to get the book finished and to the printers by the end of the month, which is why I haven’t been posting on social media that much. Oh yeah, and getting ready for WonderCon.

A real blast from the past as well as comics history. I haven’t seen writer David Lynch in almost 40 years and here he is at the Northeast Comic Con. David co-wrote THE MAN FROM UNCLE issues 1, 2 & 10, all illustrated by me. Co-writer Skip Simpson sadly passed away about 2 years ago.
